About The Position

We are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-volume, Level I trauma facility. The ideal candidate will have strong post-anesthesia care experience, the ability to manage complex cases, and comfort working across multiple surgical specialties.

Requirements

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Required Certifications: BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Required Skills: Conscious sedation
• IV starts
• Pulmonary artery lines
• Telemetry & ventilator management

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and manage airway, pain, and sedation recovery
• Administer medications and IV therapies as required
• Perform conscious sedation monitoring and IV starts
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary staff
• Float across PACU and pre-op areas as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
