The Registered Nurse in PACU is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. He/ she is responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care of critically ill patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes, serving as a resource when directed, utilizing knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provision of care, and contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient care outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Oklahoma
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities
