Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- 1+ years’ experience as an RN in a hospital PACU or Critical Care Unit.
- Current valid NJ State professional Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS (obtainable within the first three months of employment)
- PALS (obtainable within the first three months of employment)
- Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Training.
- Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, perform EKG, phlebotomy (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment)
- Ability to manage a patient’s airway, including the use of mechanical ventilation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment, or programs used in the organization.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Knowledge of Epic is a plus.
Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse—Post Anesthesia Care Unit will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local.
