About The Position

Position Purpose: At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurses (RN) in the PACU delivers post-anesthesia care to patients and asses their status to ensure they safely regain consciousness, monitor, and look for signs of difficulty breathing, raising blood pressure, hypothermia, and agitation. What you will do In this critical role you will assist in creating and managing nursing care plans and will participate in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of the patient. Ministry/Facility Information Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. The 92-bed hospital and home health and hospice agency have been anchor institutions in north central Connecticut for more than 100 years. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school
  • Valid RN License in Connecticut
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Ideal candidates will have one or more years of PACU.CU, Critical Care nursing experience
