About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties.
Requirements
- Active California RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Experience in a Level I Trauma setting required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong experience with conscious sedation, IV starts, and monitoring equipment
- Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
- First-time travelers accepted
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia
- Monitor vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness
- Manage pain, nausea, and post-surgical complications
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including conscious sedation
- Perform advanced patient monitoring (telemetry, ventilators, etc.)
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams
- Assess readiness for discharge or transfer
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care
