About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Orthopedic Surgery unit . The RN will provide high-quality care to post-operative and orthopedic patients, ensuring safe recovery and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Requirements
- Active Tennessee RN License or Multistate License (required)
- Minimum 1 year of orthopedic or related specialty experience
- Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in teaching hospitals or community hospital settings
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic surgical patients
- Monitor post-operative patients and manage pain, mobility, and recovery
- Administer medications and treatments safely
- Assess patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on recovery, mobility, and discharge planning
