The Endoscopy Center, Inc. is an ambulatory surgery center in Rapid City, South Dakota, nestled between Badlands National Park and the Black Hills. We specialize in endoscopic procedures and take pride in our state-of-the-art facility, which includes three procedure rooms, electronic medical records, endoscope tracking, scope drying cabinets, and a welcoming team with extensive experience in gastrointestinal endoscopy. We are currently seeking a full-time RN or LPN to join our Pre-Op Intake Scheduling Department . This is a Monday–Friday position, 40 hours per week— no weekends and no holidays! Triage and assess patients over the phone. Completes scheduling intake to obtain all necessary patient demographic, health and insurance information. Coordinates schedule with time and equipment availability. Identifies scheduling conflicts and makes adjustments as necessary. Communicates with referring providers regarding patient cancellations or refusals. Communicates with providers regarding medication needs for patients having procedures. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Ability to make decisions and solve problems. Ability to convey excellent customer service. High school diploma or GED. Current RN or LPN license. ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Combination of office and exam settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling & assisting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
