Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Endoscopy Scheduling
About The Position
The Endoscopy Center, Inc. is an ambulatory surgery center in Rapid City, South Dakota, nestled between Badlands National Park and the Black Hills. We specialize in endoscopic procedures and take pride in our state-of-the-art facility, which includes three procedure rooms, electronic medical records, endoscope tracking, scope drying cabinets, and a welcoming team with extensive experience in gastrointestinal endoscopy. We are currently seeking a full-time RN or LPN to join our Pre-Op Intake Scheduling Department. This is a Monday–Friday position, 40 hours per week—no weekends and no holidays! Requirements
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
- Ability to convey excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current RN or LPN license.
Responsibilities
- Schedules procedures for RCMC GI providers.
- Triage and assess patients over the phone.
- Completes scheduling intake to obtain all necessary patient demographic, health and insurance information.
- Coordinates schedule with time and equipment availability.
- Identifies scheduling conflicts and makes adjustments as necessary.
- Communicates with referring providers regarding patient cancellations or refusals.
- Communicates with providers regarding medication needs for patients having procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
