Requirements

At least 2 years OR Experience
Active RN license with the State of Louisiana
Requires experience in multi-specialty OR setting
Ability to work independently during off-hours in a community hospital trauma setting
Active BLS and ACLS Certifications
Current TB Skin Test, Quantiferon Results, or Chest X-Ray
Hep B
MMR
Varicella
Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Responsibilities

Provides perioperative nursing care for surgical patients during night shift operation.
Circulating Duties
Patient Assessment
Coordination with surgical and anesthesia team
Assisting the team in maintaining and creating a comfortable, safe environment for the patient
Accurately anticipates needs of surgical team by timely availability of needed supplies and equipment
Ensures patient safety through the utilization of accurate assessment, critical thinking, expert evaluation and skillful clinical judgment
Adherence to AORN standards and hospital policies
