Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology (Flexi)
About The Position
Sentara Health is currently hiring for an RN to join the 2South Oncology team at Virginia Beach General Hospital. This is a Flexi (PRN) Rotating shift position. The 2 South Oncology unit is a 26-bed unit dedicated to providing exceptional, quality care, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma treatment, radiation, gynecologic cancers, hematologic disorders, and end-of-life patient care. Sentara is a career destination for professional nursing. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- ADN required
- Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Experienced RN
Nice To Haves
- BSN or higher preferred
- Experience in Oncology preferred
Responsibilities
