About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and a solid clinical background in managing patients with complex neurological conditions. This role requires advanced assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Requirements

• Active RN license (State of New York or compact eligibility, if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU or Critical Care experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality care to critically ill patients with neurological conditions
• Monitor and assess neurological status, vital signs, and intracranial pressure (ICP)
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments as prescribed
• Assist in the management of ventilators, feeding tubes, and other critical care equipment
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all hospital and critical care protocols
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards
