About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular / Open Heart ICU care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in managing post-operative open-heart surgery patients, complex cardiovascular cases, and critically ill cardiac patients in a high-acuity intensive care environment. This role requires advanced cardiac knowledge, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced ICU setting.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Cardiovascular ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Strong knowledge of cardiac physiology, post-operative open-heart recovery, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations

Nice To Haves

• CCRN certification (preferred/required as per facility standards)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to post-operative open-heart and critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and vital signs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as required
• Manage ventilators, invasive lines, chest tubes, and advanced cardiac monitoring equipment
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Maintain strict infection control protocols and patient safety standards
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
