About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Mother Baby and/or Labor & Delivery unit. This role is responsible for comprehensive assessment, coordination of care, and delivery of safe and effective clinical services to mothers, newborns, and laboring patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey or compact license, as applicable)
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Mother Baby and/or Labor & Delivery
• BLS required
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work night shifts and a 12-hour schedule

Nice To Haves

• ACLS and NRP preferred (based on unit requirements)

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum nursing care to mothers and routine care to newborns
• Monitor and document maternal and neonatal vital signs and recovery progress
• Educate patients and families on newborn care, feeding methods, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal status throughout labor
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
• Support patients and families emotionally and clinically throughout the labor process
