About The Position

This position performs a variety of integrated functions, intuitively, using the nursing process while applying a broad nursing knowledge in a caring, concerned manner. Position requires travel among MyMichigan Health Subsidiaries. The RN is responsible for meeting the needs of all types of patients, including those with psychiatric medical complications. For casual positions: casual employees have no regularly scheduled work hours, but require an understanding of, and agreement to fulfill, the minimum time commitments of the position for as long as the position is held. These are (if needed) at least 48 hours per month with 24 of those hours worked on weekends, and an annual requirement of 24 hours worked on holidays.

Responsibilities

  • (25%) Assesses patient for physical, emotional, psych/social and family support.
  • (25%) Organizes and coordinates all aspects of patient care according to the patient’s real and/or perceived needs.
  • (25%) Evaluates patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the patient’s plan of care or clinical path.
  • (25%) Consults and collaborates with members of the health care team in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.
