More about our team Our Medical Surgical unit is 60-beds split between 2 floors, and our team provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and reports to the Director or Manager of Department. How you'll contribute A Medical Surgical RN who excels in this role: Performs duties as assigned and requested. Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition, procedures, medications, and treatments. Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors. Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills. Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope. Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors. Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly. Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NRP, Handle with Care, preferred within one year of hire. Experience: One-year previous experience preferred Licenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license. Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
  • Associate's degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NRP, Handle with Care, preferred within one year of hire.
  • One-year previous experience preferred
