This is a most urgent opportunity within a progressive, financially stable hospital system for nurses with recent acute care experience. POSITION OVERVIEW The Med-Surg RN provides patient-centered care in an acute care hospital setting. This role includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care while working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment.
Requirements
- Must have acute care RN experience
- Acute care experience must be within the last 3 years
- If candidate has several years of RN experience, acute care experience can be within the last 5 years
- Florida RN license or compact license required
- Must obtain Florida license within 60 days if compact
- Basic Life Support required
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in fast-paced environment required
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up
- Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
