About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting. The RN will play a critical role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, monitoring clinical conditions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IV insertion and phlebotomy.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience assisting with conscious sedation.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Primary Source Verification of RN license through the New York State Education Department (NYSED) .
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document clinical findings.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies.
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy as required.
• Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Adhere to all infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
