About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical/Telemetry provides safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an acute care medical-surgical and telemetry setting. The RN is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific requirements apply)
Minimum of 1 year recent MS/Tele experience
BLS certification (required)
Experience with Epic EMR (required)
Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
Experience with telemetry monitoring and acute care nursing

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
Provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Activate and collaborate with Rapid Response and Code Teams as needed
Initiate and manage peripheral IV lines
Administer oxygen therapy, including nasal cannula and oxygen delivery systems
Perform non-invasive airway management
Adhere to infection control standards and isolation precautions
Accurately document patient care using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
Communicate effectively with physicians, care teams, patients, and families
