About The Position

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown Unit . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stroke care and stepdown settings, with the ability to manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License (must be in hand)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical with stroke stepdown experience
• Travel experience required
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for stroke and stepdown patients
• Monitor and assess patients with neurological and medical conditions
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies
• Utilize clinical equipment such as IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient care using electronic medical records
• Float to other units as required
• Maintain adherence to infection control and safety protocols
