About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting, primarily serving Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex medical conditions requiring extended hospitalization.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Nice To Haves
- LTAC experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med-Surg and Telemetry patients in an LTAC environment
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Manage patients with complex comorbidities and chronic conditions
- Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge planning
