It mobilizes resources, provides direction, education, and assumes leadership responsibilities at the unit level, delivering and documenting age-specific care and administering medications. The Clinical Nurse III job demonstrates clinical knowledge at the unit level and applies this knowledge to a specific patient population. This role assists with illness/injury prevention, wellness maintenance, and comfort provision, anticipating changes in patient situations and intervening appropriately. It provides direction, education, and serves as a role model in a clinical setting, delivering and documenting age-specific care and safely administering prescribed medications.
