About The Position

Join the critical care team at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital , a 323-bed Level I Trauma Center and the regions only Comprehensive Stroke Center . Located in the heart of Ocala, this facility is part of the trusted Ocala Health system , known for exceptional care across orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological, emergency, and surgical specialties. As an ICU Registered Nurse , youll provide advanced, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, innovation, and patient outcomes come first.

Requirements

Current Florida RN license (or Compact License with eligibility to obtain FL license within 60 days)
Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
BLS and ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire
TNCC or CCRN certification within 1 year of hire
Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (higher-acuity experience strongly preferred; strong Med/Surg candidates will be considered)

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to critical care patients with complex medical and surgical needs.
Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients in accordance with provider orders and ICU protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and post-care expectations.
Maintain detailed, timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the ICU.
Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively while maintaining calm under pressure.
