Registered Nurse RN Inpatient Rehabilitation
About The Position
Acute Rehabilitation Unit 5 O'Neil FT Day/ Evening/ Night 8 & 12 hour Shifts MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital FT schedule would be 3- 8hr shifts 1500-2300 and 1- 12hr shift 0700-1900 or 1900- 0700 a week. Join us as a Clinical Nurse on O'Neil 5, a 30-bed Acute Inpatient Rehab Unit, where you'll care for patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, joint replacements, limb salvage, and stable tracheostomies, as well as those requiring heparin drips. With an average patient length of stay of about 10 days, nurses have the opportunity to form meaningful connections and actively contribute to measurable rehabilitation goals. The unit maintains a supportive nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1, supplemented by an average of three patient care techs per shift. Our team-centered, patient-focused environment promotes collaboration and high-quality care.
Requirements
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
Responsibilities
- As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex.
- You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
