Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)
Certification/License: Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, trauma, orthopedic surgery, and other acute conditions
Provide direct, hands-on care while supporting mobility, self-care, and activities of daily living
Collaborate closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to reinforce therapy goals at the bedside
Monitor patient progress, celebrate milestones, and adjust care plans to meet changing needs
Educate patients and families on the rehabilitation process, recovery expectations, and home care strategies
