More about our team Our Charge Nurses serve as the on‑shift clinical leaders for their units, working closely with the Unit Director and nursing leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care. You will oversee daily operations, support nursing staff, and help maintain a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a leadership capacity and enjoys guiding and developing others. How you’ll contribute A Charge Nurse who excels in this role: Provides, supervises, and documents professional nursing care using the nursing process Uses sound clinical judgment to individualize patient care plans Delegates tasks and supervises licensed and unlicensed care providers Supports nursing staff and may lead care for a group of patients or an entire unit Ensures a safe environment of care, including equipment and resource readiness Acts as a preceptor and supports the development of new staff and learners Participates in performance improvement initiatives and identifies opportunities for operational or clinical enhancement Maintains required competencies and engages in ongoing professional development Performs other duties as assigned by the Director, CNO, or CEO Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program
  • RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 2 years of hire and complete it within 5 years
  • Current or compact RN license in the state of North Carolina
  • 3 years of appropriate clinical experience required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required for critical care units
