Job Description: The Senior Adult Unit (SAU) provides acute inpatient psych/med care for older adults. Average length of stay is 10 days. This is a voluntary, restraint free unit which is licensed by DPH. It is not considered a mental health unit licensed by DMH. The primary goal of the program is the stabilization of symptoms through interventions of: medical and psychiatric evaluation pharmacologic assessment patient and family education physical rehabilitation group and individual therapy nutritional assessments supportive case management The Senior Adult Unit is an ACE (Acute Care of the Elderly) program which aims to improve clinical outcomes by providing multidisciplinary care in a safe and comfortable environment. The SAU team' is trained in the specialized care of the elderly. The unit serves as the hub of Beverly & Addison Gilbert's Hospitals (members of Beth Israel Lahey Health) NICHE Exemplar recognized program. Qualifications Graduated of an accredited school of nursing Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licenser BSN preferred BCLS required Pay Range: $36.00 - $79.12 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
