About The Position

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse for IV Therapy performs primary functions in assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients receiving any form of IV Therapy. Patients served include the days-old infant to and including the elderly. Is responsible for meeting established standards of Nursing Practice and for managing supplies & equipment in the delivery of IV Therapy. Is responsible for development and promoting collaborative & collegial relationships with physicians & intra-hospital personnel as they relate to the care of the patient receiving Intravenous Therapy. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • One year medical/surgical experience required
  • Excellent IV placement skills and management of central lines required
  • Peripheral lab drawing experience required
  • Current Massachusetts RN licensure
  • BCLS Required
  • must possess exceptional vascular access skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous IV Therapy Team experience preferred
  • PICC placement preferred
