Midwest Fertility Specialists is Indiana’s largest fertility practice with over 30 years of experience and 30,000 + babies born. Our providers include 5 REI physicians, 1 MIGS specialist, and 1 PA-C with a goal of continued growth. Our nurses are an integral part of our team and we are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals committed to helping our patients meet their family planning goals. We are currently recruiting a Registered Nurse-Full Time to join us at our Midwest Fertility Care Center located in Carmel, IN . The position will be full-time and eligible for FT benefits. Clinic days and hours are Monday thru Thursday 7:30-4:30 and Fridays 7:30-1:30; rotating weekend coverage consists of Sat/Sun mornings 7-1:00 pm. The RN Generalist is responsible for the coordination of patient care and is an important participant in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, both in person and via telephone.

Requirements

• experience as a Registered Nurse
• a degree from an accredited nursing program
• a current Indiana certification as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification
• a minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN or Fertility setting

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care in the office and during in-office procedures and exams
• Counsels and educates patients on informational material involved with their treatment
• Follows established triage protocols and guidelines to evaluate and assess patient healthcare needs based on signs and symptoms.
• Accurately documents signs/vitals, symptoms, and complaints, nursing assessment, provided advice, and patient response into the EMR.
• Pulls labs/imaging results and adds to the EMR and consults with physicians on all results of testing.
• Obtains appropriate input and direction from Axia provider, as needed, to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient care.
• Educates patients and families about prescribed follow ups, medications, therapies, and teaches self-injection techniques as needed.
• Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as to improve healthcare outcomes of patients.
• Assist, as needed, with phone triage.
• Assists with medication refill requests
• Performs other associated tasks as assigned.
