Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Freestanding Emergency Department in Panama City, Florida. This role is ideal for seasoned ER nurses who are confident working independently while managing a broad range of patient acuity. POSITION OVERVIEW The FSED RN provides emergency care in a freestanding setting, requiring strong clinical judgment, autonomy, and the ability to rapidly assess and treat patients without immediate access to full hospital resources. SCHEDULE • Nights and mixed shifts available • Rotating weekends required COMPENSATION • Hourly rate $27.72 to $39.60 based on experience • Prior healthcare experience (CNA, LPN, Surg Tech, Paramedic) may count toward RN experience • Sign-on bonus: $10,000 days / $15,000 nights • Night differential $4.00/hr • Weekend differential $1.50/hr WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY • High-level autonomy in freestanding ER setting • Ideal for experienced ER nurses seeking independence • Strong compensation and sign-on structure • Supportive leadership and clinical team • Stable hospital system with long-term growth opportunities

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of recent acute care ER RN experience required (within the last year)
Active RN license required (Florida or compact)
Must obtain Florida license within 90 days if relocating
Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
BLS certification required
Strong independent clinical judgment required
Ability to work autonomously in freestanding ER environment
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

Provide emergency care for patients ranging from minor injuries to critical conditions
Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages
Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
Prioritize multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
Provide discharge instructions and referrals
Coordinate care with physicians and hospital departments
Maintain strong focus on patient safety and quality outcomes
