About The Position

LifeWorks Wellness Center is seeking a skilled and adaptable RN Float – IPT & Hyperthermia to provide direct patient care across two specialized treatment areas: Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) and Hyperthermia. This role floats between both services based on patient volume and operational needs, ensuring treatments are delivered safely, accurately, and in strict adherence to clinical protocols. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an integrative medical environment where patient safety, precision, and professionalism are paramount. Requirements

  • Active Florida RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed protocols and document accurately
  • Dependable, organized, and adaptable to changing patient volumes
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Florida-licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Must speak English.
  • Must have excellent interactive communication skills, making patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in integrative or alternative medicine preferred but not required
  • ICU or ER experience
  • Experience with conscious sedation helpful but not required
  • Comfortable using EMRs and maintaining clinical documentation

Responsibilities

  • Deliver IPT and Hyperthermia treatments exactly as ordered and per established protocols
  • Float between IPT and Hyperthermia treatment areas based on daily scheduling needs
  • Triage patients by assessing vitals, symptoms, and treatment readiness
  • Review patient charts, orders, labs, and consents prior to treatment
  • Start, monitor, and discontinue IVs according to protocol
  • Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond to adverse reactions or changes in condition
  • Maintain readiness for medical emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and distraction-free treatment environment
  • Perform equipment setup, sanitation, and cleanup per checklist requirements
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and hazardous material protocols
  • Collaborate closely with APRNs, practitioners, and clinical leadership
