Requirements
- Applicants must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing
- Should have a current VA RN license or compact state
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three (3) months of hire
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors preferred but not required
- Previous experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
- Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
