About The Position

Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Float Pool at the Woodwinds Hospital located in Woodbury, MN. The Float Pool RN will float to a variety of units including Med/Surg, Orthopedics, Oncology, Telemetry, ICU and/or ED! This unique department is a specialty group comprised of highly skilled experts that support patient care throughout the hospital. Located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands in Woodbury, MN, it's the only hospital in the Southeast Metro area. Woodwinds provides convenient, comprehensive, and quality health care for the community. We're known for attention to detail-and attention to patients-and the calming ambiance is enhanced by the surrounding woods and wetlands. Schedule: This position will be working a 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks) working 8 hour shifts, on the Night shift, with an every other weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. About Our Float Pool Department at Woodwinds Hospital Our team is prepared to work in a variety of clinical environments, where every day is something new! Patient Population: Ages 18+ Acute care experience, telemetry experience, and critical thinking skills are all important to be successful in this position. We are looking for someone who will accel in a fast-paced environment, someone who knows how to problem solve, who is flexible and willing to learn, and who is dedicated to always putting the patient first.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid RN License from MN Board of Nursing
• Acquire specialty certification within two years of hire
• Expectation of Telemetry training within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Telemetry experience

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).
• The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
• The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
