This position is for internal applicants only for the Transition to Practice Program, with an application cut-off of 5/6.

Requirements

Current and valid CA RN License
BCLS, ACLS upon hire and maintain current
PALS required within 30 days from date of hire
EDAP and EDAP II required within 6 months from date of hire

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or E.R setting preferred

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department.
Communicates with the physician about the changes in the patients clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment.
Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
