Get to Know Your Team: Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, housing the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
  • Previous dialysis experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire and maintain as current.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in need of urgent medical attention.
  • Responsible for quickly assessing and triaging patients, and for developing and implementing effective treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Primary focus is to provide rapid, evidence-based interventions to stabilize patients in critical condition, and provide support and reassurance to patients and their families during times of crisis.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and able to manage multiple competing demands while remaining focused on providing exeptional patient care.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, and for ensuring all patient care is in compliance with legal and ethical standards, hospital policy and procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required as is the ability to build positive relationships with patitents, families, and colleagues alike.
