Position Overview: CVOR Registered Nurse – Open Heart Team Christiana Hospital is seeking a highly competent, experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with specialized Open Heart (CVOR) experience to join our distinguished cardiovascular surgical team. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and cardiovascular specialists within a high-acuity environment focused on outstanding outcomes and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise, sound judgment, accountability, and a commitment to service excellence. Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware. This 1,007-bed, 1.3-million-square-foot modern facility provides a level of care only available in large-scale teaching hospitals. Christiana Hospital includes Delaware's only Level-I Trauma center (as verified by the American College of Surgeons), which is prepared to handle the most extreme medical emergencies. Requirements

• BSN preferred or Commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
• Current RN licensure required
• Three years or more Operating Room experience required
• Two-Three years of Open-Heart Team experience

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, evidence-based intraoperative nursing care for complex open‑heart surgical procedures
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons and surgical teams to facilitate safe, efficient operations
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique, clinical standards, and best practices in cardiac surgery
• Support patients and their families with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication
• Participate in scheduled Open-Heart Call and demonstrate flexibility to support Mid shifts as needed
