Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Provides advanced evaluation, stabilization, and critical care management for patients requiring transport between facilities. Ensures safe and effective care during transport, following established clinical protocols and regulations. Delivers high-quality critical care during ground and/or air transport of patients. Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill or injured patients in dynamic, high-pressure situations. Administers medications, interventions, and therapies within scope of practice and established protocols. Collaborates with physicians, providers, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient transfers. Monitors and operates specialized transport equipment, ensuring functionality and safety. Documents patient care and transport activities accurately and in compliance with regulations. Maintains readiness of transport vehicles, medical supplies, and equipment. Adheres to all federal, state, and local EMS laws, as well as hospital policies. Participates in ongoing training, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree Nursing
  • Three (3) years of nursing experience. ICU or ER RN experience preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina required
  • A valid driver's license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart.
  • BLS - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
  • ACLS - ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required within 90 days of hire
  • C-NPT CFRN, CCRN, or CEN - Required within one year of hire.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress, unpredictable environments.
  • Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of advanced airway management, cardiac monitoring, and ventilator support.
  • Knowledge and commitment to patient safety and adherence to evidence-based care standards.
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, positioning, and transport of patients and equipment.

  • PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) - Preferred
