About The Position

UC Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse (CN I) for the Gastrointestinal 8 East unit on the Night Shift at UC Medical Center. This role supports the Medical Center's medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, providing high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and according to policy and procedures. The 16-bed unit maintains patient ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. The nurse will manage liver patients (pre and post-transplant), cystic fibrosis patients, various off-service patients, and those with behavioral health components alongside medical needs. University of Cincinnati Medical Center, part of UC Health, is Greater Cincinnati's academic health system, serving the region for nearly 200 years. It provides specialty and subspecialty medical care, conducts basic, translational, and clinical research, and is home to Greater Cincinnati's only Level I adult trauma center, offering comprehensive medical resources for complex conditions and injuries. The unit is involved in special projects for innovative patient care, supports clinical groups, and offers development opportunities by orienting Healthcare Exploration students. Team members collaborate closely with physician teams and are establishing unit councils to ensure everyone has a voice.
