About The Position

The Regional Clinical Educator plays a key role in advancing nursing excellence through the promotion of evidence-based practice (EBP), clinical research, and professional development initiatives across the region. This role supports a culture of lifelong learning, clinical competence, and innovation in patient care. Working within a dynamic and passionate education team, the educator helps standardize onboarding processes, enhance the Nurse Residency Program, and mentor nurses at all stages of their careers. Expertise in critical care, oncology, or generalist practice is highly valued and welcomed. This position offers meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, contributing to the development of nursing practice and education across the region. The Registered Nurse - Clinical Educator role is responsible for the implementation of clinical and non-clinical education. Develops, coordinates, and implements continuing education and in-service education for all clinical departments.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing/BSN required.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of two years clinical experience and meets all the care delivery expectations of the expert clinical nurse within their clinical setting required.
  • Experience in classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of educational development and design preferred.

  • MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!
  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position.
  • Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
