The right person will provide nursing care before, during, and after cardiac rehab. Primarily responsible for the care of patients participating in cardiac rehab exercise program and Heart Failure clinic. The RN is responsible for assisting with the procedure, providing patient education, assessment, and monitoring, administering medications as needed and participating in performance improvement activities. The RN may also be responsible for conscious sedation monitoring of bronchoscopies as needed. Requirements

  • Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required within 90 days.
  • EKG arrhythmia training
  • Two years nursing experience to consist of Critical Care, Cath Lab, Emergency Department, or Telemetry.

Nice To Haves

  • Cardiac Rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
