Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Care / Cardiac Telemetry
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent Cardiac Care / Cardiac Telemetry opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri. This Cardiac Telemetry unit provides specialized care to patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures including open heart surgery, cardiac catheterizations with stent placement, ablations, pacemaker and AICD placement, and other cardiovascular surgeries. The unit also supports a comprehensive Stroke and STEMI program. This role offers advancement in caring for higher-acuity cardiac patients within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Nurses collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and are encouraged to problem-solve, adapt, and deliver patient-centered cardiac care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active Missouri RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
- Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Under the general direction of nursing leadership, the Registered Nurse coordinates and provides patient care while assuming accountability for nursing practice.
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and ANA Standards of Practice.
- Monitor cardiac patients, assess clinical changes, and intervene appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
