About The Position

Denver Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is a 96-bed behavioral health hospital in Englewood dedicated to making communities healthier. They are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role is vital in providing exceptional patient care within a supportive and healing environment. Denver Springs offers evidence-based, nationally recognized treatment programs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Medication Management, and Trauma-Informed Treatment, delivered by experienced and compassionate clinical experts. Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Handle with Care (HWC) within 30 days
  • 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
  • Oversee and supervise the shift
  • Demonstrate leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc
  • Oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team
  • Monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician
  • Follow hospital policy for medication administration
  • Consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
  • Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
  • Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients
