About The Position

Allegro Living, formed through the 2025 merger of Allegro Management Company and Spring Arbor Management Company, is building a premier senior living platform. This full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) position is for the Assisted Living community at Alto Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, CT. The role offers an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to step into leadership without the typical hospital burnout, emphasizing a supportive, team-first environment with no rotating shifts or hospital chaos. The Assistant Director of Nursing will act as a leader, coach, and key part of daily operations, focusing on mentoring staff, supporting residents, and making a real impact.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Licensed RN in good standing with the State Licensing Agency where the community is located.
  • CPR/AED certification is required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in Geriatric, Long Term Care, or Assisted Living with Assisted Living Training preferred.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe environment for all residents, visitors, and associates of the Community through vigilance regarding infection control and life safety.
  • Work with Care Staff to create Resident Service Plans.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing Department to assess prospects and new residents as directed by the RSD.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with the RSD in administrating and managing the Department, to promote continuity of care and maintenance of services for the residents.
  • Maintain Department compliance with the operating budget through use of purchase order system and budget control procedures (including appropriate prior authorization on capital expenditure purchases).
  • Supervise the Care Staff in giving day to day care to the residents (i.e., bathing assistance, health monitoring, etc.).
  • Assist with resident care activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
