About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Telemetry at Resurrection Medical Center, located at 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631, is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care. This role utilizes the nursing process, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within their scope of practice and is also tasked with directing and guiding patient/family teaching. Additionally, the RN oversees the activities of other nursing personnel, ensuring that standards of care are maintained within the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The incumbent is directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to their assigned patients. A critical aspect of the role involves communicating with physicians regarding changes in a patient’s clinical condition, which includes cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. The RN must possess the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment. The schedule for this full-time position is days, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
