About The Position

As part of the CCBHC’s multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) will work with both our Recovery and Intensive Services teams with clients across the lifespan and a particular focus on adolescent and transition age youth. The RN will work with each team to assess individuals/families with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues in the clinic and community settings to provide education, treatment, and referral services. The RN will be involved in the development and ongoing management of a culturally competent, comprehensive, individualized care plan with each patient. As a part of the Recovery Services Team, the RN will support the continued evolution and implementation of ASAM Level One Withdrawal Management Services in collaboration with Clinical Director of Substance Use Disorder Services. The RN will work with team members across the agency including counselors, nurses, psychiatric providers, and education, employment, and healthcare specialists to provide expertise around service delivery models and work with agency leadership to create new programming to meet the needs of CCBHC clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and a RN licensed in the state of RI
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in care management
  • Experience working with the ASAM level 1 services, withdrawal management and Substance Use Disorder population
  • Experience with children, adolescents and adults from diverse social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
  • Flexible schedule with some evenings
  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated
  • Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
  • Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
