About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatric Trauma Registrar position at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. As the Pediatric Trauma Registrar, duties include but are not limited to: Obtaining, abstracting, correcting, and entering appropriate trauma patient data, both concurrently and retrospectively. Analyzing and interpreting all available patient data to determine extensive coding classifications including ISS scores utilizing ICD-10 and AIS coding. Compiling statistics, preparing and generating reports on trauma populations, and performing data searches for trauma-related research projects. Submitting data to the National and State of Florida trauma data bases. Coordinating all trauma registry performance activities involved in the Trauma Program in accordance with the American College of Surgeons and State of Florida verification criteria. Assisting the Trauma Program Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager with analysis of trends using statistical quality tools to identify program performance improvements that, when implemented, lead to improved patient outcomes. Requirements

  • 3-5 Years Nursing Experience Required
