About The Position
Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse to our Pediatric Cath Lab Department at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity. This position requires call rotation on nights and weekends. In this role, you'll support pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing the lab, ensuring equipment readiness, maintaining a sterile environment, and collaborating with the care team, while continuously monitoring young patients, assisting with sedation and medications, and providing compassionate guidance to families in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. This lab is a combination lab that performs both Interventional and EP studies. ACLS and PALS are required due to the lab being IAC-accredited. This Pediatric Cath Lab RN will be located at Wolfson Children's Hospital, located in Jacksonville, FL. Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Associate's Degree - Nursing
- 2 years Critical Care Experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinating with the physician's office, other RNs, laboratory, dietary, x-ray, pharmacy, and other areas of the hospital
- Assist with cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures.
- Will be responsible for moderate sedation.
- Cath Lab RN's may assist with TEEs and cardioversions.
- Assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, supervision of care provided by supportive personnel, and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
- Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs, and the anticipation of needs of the case
