About The Position

The Patient Care Coordinator is a clinical leader responsible for overseeing daily operations in the ASC Urology center. This role involves coordinating patient flow, staffing assignments, and procedural readiness, while also providing direct nursing care during procedures. The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a clinical resource and mentor to staff, ensuring consistent high-quality care across all phases of care.

Requirements

  • Graduation certificate from an accredited school of nursing (RN program)
  • Current MS state licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advances Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Completion of Moderate Sedation Coarse
  • Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS)
  • Proficient patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, IV insertions, and administering Moderate Sedation
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong critical thinking skills, organization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, technicians, anesthesia personnel and patients
  • Ability to provide safe care during high stress or emergent situations
  • Ability to use electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Must be timely and dependable
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be very detail oriented
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to complete documentation accurately
  • Must be able to follow existing workflows
  • Knowledge of ASC procedures, infection control practices and emergency response protocols

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of nursing experience, with prior experience in endoscopy, perioperative, critical care, or procedural areas
