Responsible for providing high quality critical care transport, including assessment, triage, treatment, and transport by air or ground vehicle. Utilizes standards and guidelines established by Medical Transport Medical Director(s). The Critical Care Provider - Dual Certified will be responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of Medical Transport and assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing or enroll in BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months and obtain BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between department and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.
  • Minimum 5 years full time critical care experience
  • Maintains current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
  • Maintains current licensure and certification as a Paramedic in N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services and will obtain S.C. prior to orientation completion
  • Maintains National Registry Paramedic
  • Maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, TNCC or advance provider ITLS or PHTLS
  • Maintain CCRN, CEN, CCEMT-P, or CCP-C
  • Will obtain CFRN or FP-C within 18 months of hire date. Once CFRN or FP-C obtained will replace need for CCRN/CEN
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Maintain FEMA 100, 200, 700, & 800
  • Must attend 80% of monthly scheduled team meetings
  • Must attend 100% of quarterly recurrent training (Medical and Safety)
