This role is for a Registered Nurse in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, MD, within the Surgical Services department. It is a full-time position with a rotating schedule and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Or military CPR-First Aid training.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing at date of hire required.

• 2 Years of Critical Care experience required

Responsibilities

• Deliver care for post-operative and post-procedural patients during the immediate recovery phase.
• Adhere to AORN and ASPAN standards for aseptic technique and perianesthesia practice.
• Continuously evaluate, document, and report patient responses to anesthesia and surgical interventions.
• Act as a patient advocate by assessing, monitoring, and aggressively managing post-operative pain and sedation levels.
• Anticipate patient needs and potential complications by understanding the specific nuances of each procedure.
