About The Position

The RN in the Recovery Room provides expert professional nursing care for the patient during the pre- and post-operative course. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients that are under the effects of anesthesia. The RN must have excellent observation skills, critical thinking skills, and be able to make quick and effective decisions.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited/ approved school of nursing with an associate’s degree in nursing is required.
• A current North Carolina or compact stated Registered Nurse (RN) license is required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within 1 year of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
